General and Emergency Consultations

Receive expert guidance on general health concerns, age-related wellness for young and senior animals, vaccinations, quality-of-life considerations, chronic health or behavioural conditions, and a wide range of other veterinary matters.

Emergency consultations are also available for livestock. Services include sudden-death investigations and full post-mortems, as well as support for prolapses, down cows, sudden or acute lameness, bloat, grain overload or ruminal acidosis, pregnancy toxaemia, suspected plant toxicity, and more.

Did your dog eat something strange or did your livestock access questionable plants?

Live in a regional area with limited veterinary access for your livestock?

An emergency consultation will guide you through the issue, next steps, which may include home monitoring, care, or urgent referral to the nearest veterinary hospital. Emergency prescriptions can be provided for livestock in remote areas on a case-by-case basis, following the Veterinary Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Legislation in NSW.

If a pet is in severe distress, sedated, or comatose, please go directly to your nearest veterinary hospital.

 

Complex Medical and Preventative Health Consultations

  • Preventative Health Plans for companion animals: dental, skin and parasite control for dogs and cats.

  • Livestock parasite prevention, nutrition and husbandry advice. This includes comprehensive advice about pasture and feed management, toxic plant identification, faecal egg worm testing options/intervals and drench options for livestock. 

  • Dermatology: short- and long-term management of skin conditions. 

  • Geriatric care for cats, dogs and small ruminants. Including management options for arthritis.

  • Chickens: from the egg bound, infectious disease, husbandry and beyond...

  • Sudden death in livestock: discuss presenting symptoms and history to commence a disease investigation. Follow up field postmortems and disease investigations.

  • Medical areas: Endocrine, renal or heart disease condition management can be provided. For Telehalth, in person physical examination and diagnostics may be required for prescriptions and ongoing monitoring. Referrals can be provided for specialist care.
