Kindly note that prescriptions can only be issued on a case-by-case basis in accordance with veterinary regulations. This ensures that your pet receives the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

These consultations may extend beyond 45 minutes, as they involve in-depth discussions regarding diagnostic, treatment, or management plans for chronic diseases, preventative health management, and husbandry practices. Following the consultation, clients may receive a written management plan, referrals, or additional resources via email.

Schedule a follow-up appointment after your initial consultation or in-person mobile visit with Good Shepherd Veterinary Service. This appointment can be used for prescription refills or to assess ongoing chronic medical conditions.

This consultation is designed for sessions lasting between 45 minutes to 2 hours, focusing on comprehensive management plans and follow-up reports. Topics may include pasture management, drench protocols, parasite management, and testing information.

After the consultation, detailed reports will be prepared and emailed to clients.

Alternatively, an on-site physical examination of livestock, faecal egg count testing, and an evaluation of husbandry and pasture practices is also available. If you prefer an on-site consultation, please indicate this during the session or contact us directly. 

Mobile farm visits cost between $225-$300 in total. This includes a $125 consultation fee and a fixed travel cost:

• $50 for Inner Western Sydney regions;
• $100 anywhere else across Greater Sydney;
• $150 fee for out-of-region consultations.

This excludes any veterinary medications that may be dispensed as a result of the farm visit.  

You can book this service on the same day. If you're uncertain or unable to visit a veterinary hospital right away, this consultation can act as an initial triage. Whether your pet or livestock may have ingested something potentially toxic, you're concerned about medication dosages or side effects, your chicken is suddenly lethargic, you're facing dystocia in your sheep, or your goat has gorged themself on feed, we’re here to help.

We also address sudden deaths in livestock and more. If your livestock has unexpectedly passed away and you would like an on-site disease investigation or post-mortem, please contact us directly within 48 hours of the incident. Alternatively, we can arrange a follow-up investigation after the initial consultation.
